Our Mission:

Maryland Collie Rescue assists with the re-homing and rehabilitating of purebred collies within the Maryland / DC area.  We work with other groups to help connect Collies and Families, as well as help facilitate private placements.

Quick View:

• Available for information sharing, emergency foster care and transport services.
• Does not pull/place dogs; instead, helps enable direct connections to assist with placement..
• Private, individual rescue effort established in January, 2006.

CRC has been instrumental in guiding and encouraging us in our rescue journey.

Tri-State was instrumental in assisting us as we began our rescue journey.

MCR Met Lassie at the World of Pets Expo in Timonium, MD.

A few of the MCR Volunteers were privileged to meet with the World's Most Famous Dog - Lassie, and Lassie's Handler, Carol Riggins.  at the World of Pets Expo in Timonium, MD.  We made Lassie's webpage and her Barker Blog!  The entire Team Lassie was very gracious and kind. 

We are honored to be included on Lassie's site, as they are supporters of Collie rescue.  Stop by to say hi, and tell 'em Maryland Collie Rescue sent you!

Many thanks to the World of Pets Expo organization for hosting the event, to all the MCR volunteers who helped out, and, to all who visited and were so generous with their donations so that we could share with other Collie rescue groups.

Maryland Collie Rescue wins The Just Dog Breeds "Dog Rescue Award!"

The designation is awarded exclusively to breed rescue groups as recognition for their hard work and kindness towards dogs.
