First Round of Voting Ongoing

October 20, 2006 -- House of Autumn Studios is proud to announce that one of our clients has made it into the first round of the Grammy awards.

Mike Surratt, of Lanham Maryland, has had his newest CD - The Polka Element - selected to compete in round one of the 2006 NARAS / Grammy voting.

The Polka Element is unique in that it is believed to be the first time that one single individual has written, arranged, produced and recorded an entire compilation of original Polka material as a solo project. Surratt played every note of every instrument on every song for his NARAS debut, and the effort is paying off handsomely. Not only has the CD been entered into the Polka category, he also has three additional singles entered into the Best Original Instrumental Composition category.
