Released on his CD "The Polka Element" via Keytone Records, this project marks Surratt's entree into the world of international music video production. "Polkancerto" illustrates Surratt's versatility and comfort with both the piano and accordion, and showcases his serious commitment to these instruments, as well as his fun-loving persona. Surratt says that bringing an MTV-like music video into the polka genre was an exciting concept. He has campaigned tirelessly throughout his musical career spanning more than three decades to bring polka music out of its niche-genre and into a more mainstream level of acceptance. Filmed by Crazylulu Productions, and produced by House of Autumn Studios, "Polkancerto" was truly a cross-cultural undertaking, transcending age, ethnic and geographical differences, much in the manner of Surratt's music.
